This is a Table Flag Stand used on the head table of German shooting events.
Made from a 1955 artillery shell bottom, all nickel plated.
Deutscher Schutzen Bund (German Shooting Federation) original founded on July 11, 1861 it was re-founded in 1951.
The purpose of the German Shooting Federation is to promote and monitor the sport shooting according to uniform rules,
the regulation of education and training, the establishment of national leagues,
the promotion of protecting traditions, the representation of its members at home and abroad,
promoting the sporting and general youth work ,
the implementation of the German Shooting day and unified presentation
 of sports shooting and on associational Protect tradition in public.
